Corpo fechado é uma obra realizada em vídeo, focada nas condições sociais e suas relações com as práticas espirituais e religiosas na megalópole de São Paulo, no Brasil. Na tangência entre trabalho, mercado e fé, três episódios são interligados através de três interlúdios. Cada um dos episódios foi realizado em colaboração com um praticante religioso diferente, enquanto os interlúdios apresentam a produção de objetos religiosos, feitos à mão, mas fabricados em escala industrial para ser distribuído globalmente. Situa-se entre o documentário e a ficção, entre o realismo social e uma reflexão sobre a crença e a tradição na era da mídia e da globalização dos mercados.

Corpo Fechado is a recently produced 4K video in São Paulo, Brazil, focused on social conditions and their relations to spiritual and religious practices in the megalopolis. Three episodes are interconnected through three interludes that introduce sites of production of religious objects. Hand-produced objects are manufactured and distributed globally, on the junction of labor, market, and faith. Corpo Fechado is placed between documentary and fiction, between reality and belief, between social realism and philosophical prediction in the age of media and tradition. Each episode was produced in collaboration with the practitioner – both representing core ideas of the practice and ideology but also as a critical reflection on the social condition we live in, through the lens of faith.
