O Brasil está entre os países mais violentos do mundo e tal brutalidade tem vítimas com idade, cor e endereço. Os mais atingidos são os jovens negros moradores das favelas e periferias das grandes cidades brasileiras. Para abordar essa realidade assombrosa, na qual 59 jovens negros são assassinados todos os dias, Simões retrata a juventude negra brasileira em seu dia a dia, em casa e lugares onde trabalham e se divertem. Pessoas com nome, endereços, desejos, sonhos de futuro colocando-se firmemente diante da câmera e de todos nós.

Brazil is among the most violent countries in the world and this violence has an age, color, and address. The hardest hit by this violence are the young black population living in the slums and suburbs of large Brazilian cities. To address this astonishing reality, where 59 young people of color are murdered every day, Simões portrays Brazilian black youth in their daily lives, at home, places where they work and play. People with a name, address, wishes, dreams of the future, and, above all, all of them staring steadily at the camera and all of us.
