FEDERICO ESTOL
Fotógrafo uruguaio, formado pelo Centro de Tecnologia de Imagem e Multimídia da Universidade Politécnica da Catalunha – BarcelonaTech. Atualmente trabalha como diretor artístico do festival SAN JOSÉ FOTO, promovendo o Photobook Club Montevidéu e como editor da editora El Ministerio Ediciones. Foi selecionado em festivais como Noorderlicht photo festival (NL), Athens photo festival (GR), Les Rencontres de Arles (FR), DongGang Photo Festival (KO), IN / OUT photo festival (RO), Verzasca Foto (CH), Aleppo photo festival ( SR), Backlight photo festival (FIN), Festival Internazionale di Roma (IT), Tbilisi Photo Festival (GEO), FIF Belo Horizonte e Valongo (BR), Fotograma e San José Foto (UY), Indian Photo Festival (IN), Getxophoto e Santander Photo (SP), Addis Foto Fest (ET), Fotofest (BO), Photo Israel (IS), Brighton Photo Fringe (UK), Kaunas Photo (LI), Kuala Lumpur Photo Prize (MA) e Encontros da Imagem ( PT). Participou de exposições na Aperture Foundation (Nova York), Fundación Atchugarry (Punta del Este), FOLA e Casa Florida (Buenos Aires), Contemporary Art Space (Montevidéu), Mattatoio e MACRO Museum (Roma). Suas obras e publicações estão em várias coleções públicas e privadas, como a FOLA Latin American Photo Library em Buenos Aires, Tate Modern em Londres, o Museum of Fine Arts em Houston, o Museu da Fotografia em Fortaleza e o Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum. Recebeu diversos prêmios, bolsas e bolsas, recentemente homenageado com o prêmio Latinoamericano Photobook pelo CDF de Montevidéu 2014, o IILA Fotografía em Roma 2016, o prêmio FELIFA International photobook 2018, o Cosmos Arles PDF Award e o Vencedor do International Photography Prémio Encontros da Imagem Portugal 2019. Nomeado Paris Photo – Aperture Photobook Awards 2019 e Prêmio Meitar de excelência em fotografia Israel 2020.
