RICARDO MUÑOZ IZQUIERDO
Atualmente é residente associado da Roca Umbert fabrica de las artes, tutorizado por Joan Fontcuberta, e estudou na Universidade Tecnológica de Pereira e na Universidade de Pelotas, Brasil. Fez estágios nacionais no Ministério da Cultura da Colômbia sob a tutela de Juan Mejía e Maria Isabel Rueda. Diretor da residência artística La Cuenca Pereira. Ricardo conseguiu construir uma linguagem característica e amplamente lembrada. Os resultados de seu trabalho oscilam entre a escatologia, a violência, o sagrado, a crueza erótica e a autobiografia para propor um surrealismo particular. Postulando uma metodologia de trabalho única, Muñoz explora várias técnicas sem esgotar as conquistas de cada uma. Seus projetos vão da arte urbana à experimentação sonora, do desenho à animação, da serigrafia à fazine, da pintura à escultura, da performance à direção de arte; e vice-versa. Ele tem se interessado em explorar associações entre linguagens gráficas com um forte conteúdo anedótico de humor, cinismo e deformação alegórica. Seus projetos foram selecionados em vários eventos internacionais: “Festival Panoramic Center d’Arts Santa Mònica Barcelona. Realizou residências artísticas em Taller 7, Medellín, Colômbia La Usurpadora em Puerto Colombia, Bienal de Cerveira, Portugal, Cera 13, Barcelona, Roca Umbert Granollers, Barcelona Colaborou com o artista Marcel Lí Antúnez Roca em vários projetos. Ele reside atualmente entre Pereira e Barcelona.

He is currently an associate resident of Umbert Rock Arts Factory, tutored by Joan Fontcuberta. He has studied at the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira and University of Pelotas, Brazil. Ricardo has succeeded in building a characteristic language of broad remembrance. The results of his work oscillate between eschatology, violence, sacred, erotic crudity and autobiography to propose a particular surrealism. Postulating a singular working methodology, Muñoz explores different techniques without exhausting each one’s achievements. His projects range from urban art to sound experimentation, from drawing to animation, from screen printing to fazine, from painting to sculpture, from performance to art direction; and vice versa. Ricardo Muñoz has been interested in exploring associations between graphic languages with a strong anecdotal charge from humor, cynicism and allegorical deformation.
